During the night of 18 November, Russian forces again attacked Ukraine using various types of weapons. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, both attack drones and missiles were employed.

According to The WP Times, citing Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba, as well as the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), a massive strike was carried out against railway infrastructure in the city of Dnipro and in the Kharkiv region. The attacks caused severe destruction, fires and damage to civilian facilities.

In Dnipro, the enemy used dozens of so-called “kamikaze” drones to hit a suburban depot that services passenger electric trains in the region. This is already the second massive strike on this facility since the start of the full-scale invasion. The main repair workshop suffered significant destruction and the railway station in Dnipro was damaged. Clearing of rubble and emergency restoration work has already begun, Kuleba reported. Despite the damage, morning electric trains from Dnipro were dispatched according to schedule.

In the city itself, according to updated SES information, two civilians were injured: a 59-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man. As a result of the strikes, several large fires broke out. A two-storey media building, transport and private enterprises, a municipal facility, a service station, shops and kiosks, a public catering venue, various infrastructure sites, six multi-storey residential buildings and garages were damaged. More than 20 cars were damaged or destroyed, and three vehicles were reported as completely burnt out.

In the Novooeksandriivka hromada (local community), a private residential property caught fire, while additional strikes on infrastructure sites were recorded in the Samarivsk and Pavlohrad districts.

In the Kharkiv region, Russian forces shelled several railway stations. In Berestove, a railway employee was injured and received medical assistance. Railcars and infrastructure at four stations were damaged. According to later reports, Russian troops also carried out missile strikes on Berestyn in the Kharkiv region. As a result of this attack, several people were injured, and it was later confirmed that a young woman had been killed.
