In a highly anticipated super welterweight rematch, American boxer Brandon Adams (27-4, 16 KO) secured a decisive victory over Ukraine’s Serhiy Bohachuk (26-4, 24 KO) by unanimous decision. The bout, which took place on September 14, saw Adams control the pace for much of the 10-round contest, ultimately earning scores of 99-91, 98-92, and 98-92 from the judges, reports The WP Times.

The fight began with both boxers showing early aggression. Adams targeted the body with powerful shots, while Bohachuk focused his offense on his opponent's head. While both fighters landed effectively, Bohachuk seemed to gain control in the second round, consistently landing uppercuts. However, Adams responded with well-timed combinations as the round concluded.

The middle rounds were a back-and-forth affair, with close exchanges in the third and active boxing from both fighters in the fourth. Adams took command in the fifth, landing key body shots that seemed to slow the Ukrainian down.

As the fight progressed, Bohachuk appeared to realize he was falling behind. He attempted to increase his output and work the body, but Adams successfully neutralized his advances, responding with more effective and powerful counter-punches. The American’s strategic defense and accurate striking made it difficult for Bohachuk to turn the tide.

The judges’ decision was a fair reflection of the fight's action, with Adams earning a well-deserved victory. This marks the second time Adams has defeated Bohachuk, following a stunning upset win in 2021. After that loss, Bohachuk rebuilt his record with seven wins in eight fights, but he was unable to reverse the outcome this time against his American rival.
