Global metal icons Metallica have announced the UK and Ireland leg of their highly anticipated M72 World Tour 2026, reports The WP Times, citing Live Nation UK and Ticketmaster.
The band will headline four major stadiums next summer — London, Dublin, Cardiff, and Glasgow — bringing their groundbreaking No Repeat Weekend format and 360-degree in-the-round stage production to over half a million fans across the British Isles.
The M72 Tour continues Metallica’s massive two-year global campaign supporting their latest studio album 72 Seasons. Each city will host a unique experience: No Repeat Weekends in London and Dublin will feature two completely different setlists across two nights, while Cardiff and Glasgow will host powerful One Night Only shows.
Tour Dates – UK & Ireland 2026
| Date | City | Venue | Format | Support Acts |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 19 & 21 June 2026 | Dublin, Ireland | Aviva Stadium | No Repeat Weekend | Gojira & Knocked Loose / Pantera & Avatar |
| 25 June 2026 | Glasgow, Scotland | Hampden Park | One Night Only | Gojira & Knocked Loose |
| 28 June 2026 | Cardiff, Wales | Principality Stadium | One Night Only | Pantera & Avatar |
| 3 & 5 July 2026 | London, England | London Stadium | No Repeat Weekend | Gojira & Knocked Loose / Pantera & Avatar |
Each No Repeat Weekend delivers two distinct concerts with entirely separate setlists and alternating support acts — meaning no song is performed twice. The legendary Snake Pit remains at the centre of the stage, providing fans with a 360° view of the band’s explosive energy.
