Netflix’s record-breaking animated success, KPop Demon Hunters, is extending its influence beyond the streaming platform through a significant new collaboration with Mattel. This partnership will release a new three-pack of HUNTR/X “What It Sounds Like” Fashion Dolls, featuring the beloved demon-slaying idols Rumi, Mira, and Zoey. This collectible set is priced at US$150 and will be available for pre-order exclusively on Mattel Creations starting November 12. The dolls are scheduled for shipping in Fall 2026, reports The WP Times with reference to Resonate.
Each doll in the trio is meticulously detailed, arriving dressed in the group’s signature glittering finale outfits. According to Mattel, the figures are equipped with "screen-accurate" weapons, feature luxuriously fabricated costumes, and boast hair "made for the spotlight." The exclusivity of the set is further confirmed by the inclusion of a Certificate of Authenticity.
The release of these fashion dolls is part of a much larger collaboration, which was announced last month, involving Netflix, Mattel, and Hasbro. This extensive partnership is set to launch a broad range of KPop Demon Hunters merchandise, spanning from toys and games to full cosplay gear, hitting the shelves soon.
Marian Lee, Netflix Chief Marketing Officer, emphasized the fervor surrounding the film, stating that “KPop Demon Hunters unleashed a global fan frenzy — we’re talking dancing, singing, and more screaming than anyone was emotionally prepared for.” Lee noted the significance of the endeavor, marking the first time the streaming giant has collaborated with both major toy powerhouses simultaneously. She added that fans can finally look forward to "getting their hands on the dolls, games, and merch they’ve been not-so-subtly demanding on every social platform known to humanity.”
Since its launch in June, KPop Demon Hunters has achieved remarkable success, accumulating over 325 million streams—equivalent to 541 million hours watched. This makes the film Netflix's most popular global movie of all time. The animated feature was directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and produced by Sony Pictures Animation. The film stars Arden Cho, May Hong, and Ji-young Yoo as the voices behind Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, three K-pop idols who secretly act as demon hunters protecting their fanbase from supernatural threats.
