PAD London 2026 opens in Berkeley Square today, Tuesday 13 October, with the invitation and paid Collectors Preview from 11:00 to 20:00, followed by a VIP Opening on 14 October and public days from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 October. The Mayfair fair brings together leading dealers in historical and contemporary design, decorative arts and modern art in a marquee in the centre of the square, The WP Times reports.

Adult tickets cost £30 and student tickets £15, while the Collectors Preview is priced at £100 and the VIP Opening at £75. PAD runs during Frieze week, so Mayfair will be busy all week with collectors, galleries and late openings.

What is PAD London?

PAD, originally the Pavilion of Art and Design, was founded in Paris and has been held in Berkeley Square since 2007. It is smaller and more intimate than Frieze, focusing on collectible design: 20th-century furniture, contemporary studio pieces, lighting, ceramics, jewellery, tribal and decorative arts, alongside modern paintings and sculpture. Many pieces are museum quality and priced accordingly, but browsing is the main draw for most visitors, and the stands are styled like rooms rather than white-cube booths.

What to look out for

  • Mid-century French and Scandinavian furniture from leading Paris and London dealers;
  • contemporary collectible design, including limited-edition lighting and furniture;
  • ceramics and glass, from historic pieces to contemporary studio work;
  • high jewellery and objets d'art;
  • modern and post-war art shown in domestic settings.
