Arsenal defender William Saliba is celebrating his side's convincing 3-1 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League, with the celebrations extending to social media. The fixture at the Emirates Stadium saw the intense personal duel between Saliba and star striker Harry Kane, a battle which the French center-back convincingly won. Saliba, Arsenal's number two, chose to extend his on-field dominance by posting two photographs on Instagram appearing to mock the England skipper. For yet another match in his career, Kane failed to score a goal from open play against Arsenal while Saliba was on the pitch, reports The WP Times citing the arsenalinsider.

The game, which was anticipated as the toughest of the season for both teams, was evenly matched in the first half. However, Arsenal entirely dominated after the break and deservedly secured the victory. The central defensive partnership of Saliba and Cristhian Mosquera completely neutralized the former Tottenham man: Harry Kane did not manage to register a single shot at goal throughout the entire game. The pictures posted by Saliba on his Instagram account show Kane lying on the pitch or falling backwards following a challenge from the French defender.

Although Saliba might argue these were simply random frames from his team's victory, a comment beneath the post from Spanish player Mikel Merino, who wrote, "Stop bullying already!", confirms the mocking nature of the upload. Despite having to play without his usual partner, Gabriel Magalhaes, Saliba's statistics were exceptional: in his 90 minutes, he completed 46 touches, made 36 accurate passes out of 38 (maintaining a stunning 98% passing accuracy), and registered 3 interceptions, 3 clearances, and 6 ball recoveries, while being dribbled past only once.
